I have been working as a freelance English to Spanish translator since 1991, helping companies and publishing houses to have their software, documents or books written in a clear, accurate and natural Spanish.

About me

I hold a degree in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Granada and a postgraduate diploma in medical translation, along with recent training in accounting and IT, among other subjects.

I am working as an English to Spanish translator since the 1980s, first as an in‑house translator at a Madrid translation company and, since 1991, as a freelancer. Throughout my career, I have worked in different areas, with versatility and reliability.

Founding member of the Spanish Association of Translators, Editors and Interpreters, Asetrad and regular collaborator in online training and other activities proper of a professional association.

Advanced user of office suites, spreadsheets, DTP tools, presentations, and very quick to learn new software.

  • Translator and project leader at a translation company in Madrid (1987‑1991), specialising in IT.
  • Freelance translator since 1991, working mainly for European and North American companies and publishers.
  • Tens, possibly hundreds, of millions of words translated in the fields of software, medical equipment and technical documentation.
  • Economía: un primer curso inspirado en el mundo real (originally titled Economics) by Acemoglu, Laibson, and List (Antoni Bosch Editor, 2017, ISBN: 978-84-944880-3-0), teaming up with Dulcinea Otero-Piñeiro.
  • Ongoing: La economía 2.0 (originally titled The Economy 2.0) by CORE Econ Team, also teaming up with colleague Dulcinea.
